Lebanon United Methodist Church is located at 12450 Courthouse Road (between the Dinwiddie County Courthouse and the Dinwiddie High School) in Dinwiddie County.  We offer a casual, yet traditional, service each Sunday at 11:00 am.  We have a modern, well-staffed nursery available for the 11:00 service, although young children are welcome to all services.

Sunday school is held every Sunday morning at 9:45am with classes for children, junior and senior high school as well as a nursery staffed by adult women.  There are four adult classes offering a variety of styles and subjects.

Our 11:00 am service features a lively choir, a children’s message, a time of sharing joys and concerns, and a sermon by our pastor, Phyllis Piluso.  After the Children’s Message, all preschool children are invited to “Children’s Church” featuring activities that enliven and enrich the theme of the preceding message in worship.  They are cared for by adult, women members of our church.

We offer additional activities for our children several times a year.  These include outings such as ‘Lunch and a Movie’, attending Plays, annual Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival and an annual Picnic and Hayride.  Our youth group is very active as a fellowship and mission group… please check out their page.

Lebanon is involved in many missions including: previously sending a team to Mississippi for hurricane recovery work, and feeding the residents of the Petersburg Salvation Army emergency men’s shelter once a month.  We often provide support for other missions, both locally and nationwide.

We have two United Methodist Women groups.  Each meets monthly--one during the day and one in the evening.  Both are active in providing programs and doing mission work on behalf of the church.  We also have a very active Men's Fellowship which holds a monthly meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 7:30 am.  The men enjoy a breakfast and discuss programs of interest.

If you are seeking an open, inviting and caring family church, please consider visiting with us!  For more information, please contact our pastor, the Reverend Phyllis Piluso at 804-469-7200.
